For New Jersey chiropractors, knowing whether a course is asynchronous (recorded) or live and interactive is essential to planning a biennial renewal.
New Jersey chiropractic CE credit requirements
The New Jersey State Board of Chiropractic Examiners describes a requirement of 30 CE credits per biennial renewal. Its guidance calls for at least 2 credits in New Jersey laws/ethics or recordkeeping and 2 in nutrition. The board generally limits asynchronous distance-learning courses to 12 of the 30 credits; real-time interactive webinars are treated differently.
How the eight-hour Davis Chiro Credits format fits
Northeast College currently marks NJ as PreApproved in the college’s approval table for Professional Applied Kinesiology 101, Functional Neurology and the other PAK modules. A qualifying 8-hour recorded online course may count toward the 12-credit asynchronous category. Completing two such courses in one renewal cycle could exceed the limit, so do not assume both sets of eight credits would be accepted.
We do not represent these courses as automatically fulfilling New Jersey’s mandated ethics/recordkeeping or nutrition categories. Match the course’s actual approved subject matter to your renewal needs.
Check the board’s current approved-course period
The state board publishes approval periods, including a September 1, 2025–August 31, 2027 cycle. Review the New Jersey Board’s current approved CE provider and course lists, its chiropractic renewal FAQ, and Northeast College’s Northeast College’s PAK Module 1 approval listing.
Choose the right PAK module
If you have not completed PAK 101, begin by reviewing its course details; later PAK modules have sequential prerequisites. The course-by-course state approval table contains official college links for all nine courses, and Student Support can help you find the correct listing. Please confirm with the NJ board before purchasing.
