Ohio chiropractors considering online continuing education should check both the state board’s 2026–2028 renewal rules and the official approval listing for the course they intend to complete.
Ohio CE hours for the 2026–2028 renewal cycle
The Ohio State Chiropractic Board lists 36 CE hours for the regular chiropractic renewal cycle: 34 chiropractic hours and 2 board-mandated hours. Its stated earning window is April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2028. Special rules and first-renewal exemptions may apply; check your individual license status.
Are online chiropractic CE hours allowed in Ohio?
Ohio’s board states there is no general cap on online CE hours. However, its online-education rules are detailed: a qualifying program must monitor participation and time, test knowledge, support contacting the provider, and provide completion verification only after requirements are met. The rules also address unattended sessions and simultaneous courses. A college’s course listing alone does not prove every platform feature complies with all board criteria.

Check each Davis Chiro Credits course before purchase
Northeast College presently lists Ohio (OH) as PreApproved for our 8-hour online Professional Applied Kinesiology 101 course and our Functional Neurology course, as well as the remaining PAK modules. Confirm your board accepts the specific content, modality and completion date. For the individual college URLs for all nine courses, use our course-by-course state approval table.
What these courses cannot replace
Do not assume a course on applied kinesiology or functional neurology satisfies Ohio’s two board-mandated hours. Those subjects have distinct requirements. Before buying several modules for the same cycle, check that each course and your intended completion schedule will qualify.
